Pest Control in Weiser, ID

Weiser has a dry climate with hot summers. July highs average about 94 degrees, which is hot by Idaho standards, while January lows average around 22. In a typical year the area receives about 13 inches of precipitation, and December is usually the wettest month at about 2.4 inches. These figures are 1991-2020 NOAA climate normals from a nearby weather station, so they are a guide, not a forecast.

With such dry summers, the moisture around a house often comes from watering and leaks, and pests notice. A sprinkler that soaks the base of a wall, a leaking outdoor faucet or a clogged gutter can hold enough water to attract ants and termites. On the hottest afternoons, insects seek shade, cool and damp spots, and in late fall, cold nights push rodents to look for shelter in buildings.

A helpful Weiser routine starts with a pest inspection and exterior treatment in spring. During the hottest months, check irrigation, dump standing water and look for wasp nests before they grow. When fall arrives, seal gaps around pipes, doors and vents, and through winter, check for signs of rodents. We can tailor a plan to your home, so ask for a free quote.
